Pillar #1- Read Your Bible

Pillar #1- Read Your Bible.

What does that have to do with money? Everything. Do you know that the Bible speaks to money over 800 times?

Let’s read a couple of verses below.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8

In essence, God gave His people the roadmap needed to enter the Promised Land. By observing, meditating, and following His laws, their efforts were fruitful.

Today, we have the Bible in its entirety as our GPS. With it, we can be successful in following His plan for our lives.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.Jeremiah 29:11

He Is the Source

God is the ultimate source of our prosperity. All we have comes from Him and remains His, even in our possession. Whether He gives us 5, 2, or 1 talent (Matthew 25:14-30- the Parable of the Talents), it is of utmost importance that we act wisely and responsibly with what He entrusts to us. He has plans for these gifts and talents. It is up to us to be diligent and faithful in cultivating them.

Staying in the Word is invaluable to all areas of your life. As Paul stated in 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”

By studying the Bible, we will realize not only that His Word is sufficient to meet all our needs, but it is also meant to accomplish His perfect Will for our lives. As we immerse ourselves in His Word, we realize that God is truly the source of all that we have. Then, the desire to give back to Him becomes stronger and stronger.
